Learning at Home

If your child(ren) are required to isolate

If your child(ren) are required to isolate due to Covid 19 but are well and able to access learning, we will provide remote learning, starting within 24 hours of school being notified of the absence.

Where an individual or a small group of pupils from a class are isolating, lessons will be able to be accessed via Microsoft Teams. 

Where a whole class and/or school is required to learn at home, 'live' learning will be delivered in a combination of small group and whole class remote lessons, accessed via Microsoft Teams. This will be supplemented with other activities. Details of all of the lessons will be available on their DB Primary Class Page by 9am each school day.

How to support your child at home with their learning

Our website has a number of documents to support parents with childrens’ learning at home. Please look at the links below to take you to the documents.

Other ways we will be support parents to help children with their work this year include;

  • Workshops for parents in EYFS in Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths. (face to face or remotely)
  • Parents to remotely join phonics lessons in EYFS and Year 1 to see how phonics is taught in school.
  • Parents Evenings face to face or remotely.
  • Outdoor Learning and Forest School monthly newsletter – activities to support children at home.
