Phonics Screen 2020
The Year 1 Phonics Screen was postponed in Summer 2020, due to Covid 19. In line with statutory requirements, the cohort were assessed in December 2020 (their first term in Year 2).
The proportion of the pupils who met the level of the screen in December 2020 was 94%, slightly above 2019.
Phonics Screen 2021
The Year 1 Phonics Screen was again delayed in Summer 2021, due to Covid 19. In line with statutory requirements, this cohort were assessed in December 2021 (their first term in Year 2).
The proportion of pupils achieving the level of the screen was 94%. This is a similar proportion to 2020.
