Outdoor Learning and Forest School
In 2019 an area of the school grounds was identified and our outdoor learning space and Forest School began it's development. Paths were made, trees and plants were planted, a fire pit area was built and a storage shed added. Three members of SLT - Miss Coley, Mrs Lawton and Mr Shaw began their Level 3 Forest School Training in July 2020. This was to be a year long training qualification which, now they have passed, enables them to teach the full forest school aims and beliefs as well as promoting outdoor learning across the curriculum. Our Key Learning document below outlines the learning that will take place during the children's time out in the school forest.
In the acadmic year 2023-2024 Mrs Green and Miss Wilby will also be completing their Level 3 Forest School Training.
